We are looking for an Electronic Engineer to integrate a team working in Guimarães, Portugal. The candidate will be integrated in a young active team supporting the development and implementation of sensor networks, signal processing and data acquisition systems in the context of:

  • Instrumentation of critical structural components;
  • Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS);

Responsibilities:
The candidate will work throughout the various phases of implementation of sensor networks for on-line data acquisition in structural components integrated in a HUMS. The candidate will be responsible to fill different roles inside the development team (sensor network development & implementation, data acquisition, signal acquisition & treatment, advanced sampling & data treatment, prototype building), and act proactively in quality and product assurances.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience in instrumentation, including sensors and signal acquisition and processing
  • Software development experience using LabviewTM, MatlabTM or similar
  • Good understanding of current technologies and standards in sensor technology
  • Analytical mind
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and management skills
  • Must be capable of interfacing with customers, suppliers and collaborators
  • Good English language knowledge
