We are looking for a Materials or Mechanical Engineer or similar to integrate a team working in Guimarães, Portugal. The candidate will be integrated in a young active team supporting the development of diagnosis and prognosis models for material behaviour in the context of:

  • Material mechanical characterization and models
  • Structural Simulations;
  • Structural Health Evaluation System (SHS);

Responsibilities:
The candidate will work throughout the various phases of developing and implementing diagnosis and prognosis models for structural health of materials and structures. The candidate will be responsible to fill different roles inside the development team (diagnosis methods, material damage laws, structure simulations, material behaviour prognosis, prototype building) and act proactively in quality and product assurances.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience in use of materials models, implementing them in FEM simulations
  • Experience in structural simulations using FEM codes
  • Analytical mind
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and management skills
  • Must be capable of interfacing with customers, suppliers and collaborators
  • Good English language skills.
