CRITICAL MATERIALS PRESENT AT EWSHM CONFERENCE 2014
The European Workshop on Structural Health Monitoring (EWSHM) is the most relevant European conference within the context of SHM-Structural Health Monitoring. This year edition will be held in Nantes, France, from the 8th to 11th of July. Critical Materials will be present in this year edition presenting a paper entitled “Assessment of a model-update method for damage characterization of critical structures” focusing the research activities on the development of a SHM algorithm based on a global numerical optimization procedure.

Critical Materials SA (CMT), a company from Critical Group, specialized in technology solutions for critical systems, is currently developing the project SENSWIRING - HARNESS INTEGRATED & DELOCALIZED SENSORS NETWORK FOR WIRING HEALTH MONITORING, which began in December 2013, funded by CleanSky JTI. The consortium led by CMT integrates AdvanTec Engineering GmbH, Juergenhake Deutschland GmbH and the end-user Labinal Power Systems (SAFRAN).

Critical Materials presented results associated with the Sherlock Program developed for the Portuguese Air Force, for the implementation of SHM procedures and the deployment of PRODDIA Aero. Contributing to the discussion of airworthiness and sustainment procedures as well as other related issues. The summit involves attendees as well as professionals from various parts of the world therefore create a perfect air of collaboration for the betterment of the industry.
